FC Utrecht narrowly beat Excelsior 3-2

FC Utrecht struggled to secure a 3-2 home victory over second-to-last Excelsior, with Tommy Oar scoring the decisive goal just before the end.

Mike van der Hoorn put the home side in the lead on 22 minutes, with Samuel Scheimann equalising by converting a free kick. Thanks to a goal by Roland Alberg fifteen minutes into the second half, the away team even managed to get ahead. The equaliser came fifteen minutes later when Mike van der Hoorn scored his second goal in the match. FC Utrecht then went on to win the match, even though towards the end Nana Asare was sent off the pitch when he was shown his second yellow card.
