Excelsior have secured a 2-1 home victory over Roda JC, handing over the bottom-of-the-league spot to De Graafschap.

Striker Rangelo Janga scored Excelsior’s first goal, with an own goal by Jagos Vukovic adding the second in injury time. Sanharib Malki netted Roda JC’s only goal just before the end of the match.

RKC Waalwijk beat De Graafschap 1-0, with Krisztian Nemeth scoring the match’s only goal on 78 minutes. RKC’s victory means the team climb to 8th place and De Graafschap drop to the bottom of the table.

For the second time this season, NEC proved too strong for VVV-Venlo, who this time lost 2-0. Leroy George and Lasse Schöne scored the goals. NEC are now in tenth place, VVV in 16th.
