An unusually fierce storm has claimed the lives of at least 14 people in South America.
Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil were hit by the storm, which brought rain, hail and winds of up to 100 kilometres per hour. Hundreds of houses were destroyed, trees uprooted and electricity cables brought down.
