Greenpeace has a new international director in the person of South African Kumi Naidoo. During his adolescence, Naidoo has fought against apartheid and, subsequently, conducted campaigns against poverty and Defence of Human Rights.
Naidoo takes office on Monday and in his own words, the fight against climate change is a logical step in his curriculum vitae.
The new director is the first African to obtain a management position in the ecological sector. Naidoo succeeds to the German Gerd Leipold in this position.
