Winnie Mandela is disappointed in her ex-husband Nelson Mandela, she told a British news paper this week. On top of that she thinks he has "let down" the South African nation.
"The economy is very much 'white'. It has a few token blacks, but so many who gave their life in the struggle have died unrewarded," the 73-year-old told The Evening Standard.
"The great Mandela. He has no control or say any more," she is quoted. "Mandela is now a corporate foundation. He is wheeled out globally to collect the money and he is content doing that. The ANC have effectively sidelined him."
According to Mrs Mandela she is not the only one thinking this way. "I am not alone. The people of Soweto are still with me", she said.
