Published on : 30 January 2010 - 11:24am | By RNW Radio Netherlands Worldwide
More about:

They're young, talented, ambitious and, arguably, heralding a new era putting Kenya at the heart of the African music scene.

'Sauti Sol' and solo performers 'Dela' and 'Muthoni' are fast becoming the poster boys and girls of East Africa's music scene.  They're three of East Africa's hottest performers in the whole of Kenya at the moment.

Bridges with Africa producer, Ikenna Azuike, interviewed two out of the three acts, Muthoni and Dela during a recent trip to Kenya.  He also spoke to the record label behind the musical boom, Dutch founded "Penya Africa".
