Police arrested more than 70 people at the Defqon dance party in Almere near Amsterdam on Saturday.

Nearly all of those detained were in possession of the drugs, ecstasy, GHB or cocaine. About 40,000 people attended the rave.

Seven men are still in custody facing charges relating to violence. They entered the party area illegally at the beginning of the afternoon, destroyed a fence and stole from some stalls. They then were involved in a fight with security staff.
