The number of people known to have died of Influenza A (H1N1) has risen to 4,999.
The weekly World Health Organisation report said 265 people died of the disease last week. Nearly two thirds of all the victims lived in North America, and more than 1,000 in Asia. In Europe the disease has claimed 261 lives. In all the virus has killed people in 195 countries.
