Danish police fired tear gas and arrested more than 100 activists who tried to descend on the global summit on climate change, accusing negotiators of ignoring their voices .
With drums and techno music, around 1,500 climate demonstrators tried to march on the closely guarded Bella Center where top leaders were gathering and thousands of activists had been turned away. But police with dogs fired tear gas and detained more than 100 hundreds as they neared the station, a police spokeswoman said. A police helicopter kept watch from above.
The demonstrators accused the 194 nations meeting in Copenhagen of seeking less than robust solutions to climate change.
