Beckham out of World Cup

Published on 15 March 2010 - 11:05am
More about:

England international footballer David Beckham will be unfit to play in the World Cup in South Africa.

The midfielder sustained a serious injury in the match between AC Milan and Chievo. Beckham is on loan to AC Milan from his home team LA Galaxy for the second year in a row. Near the end of the match he twisted his ankle and tore his Achilles tendon.

The 34-year-old Englishman will fly to Finland today for an operation. David Beckham had been looking forward to playing for England in the World Cup for the fourth time, and would have been the first English player to do so.

From past several times David Backham were in the news for all the reason except playing soccer, and indeed his fans will really miss him for this years Fifa event as it was really a great experience to watch his bending passes in HD video if you not able to get a seat in the stadium, however i still feel that he is fit enough to play coming years on the condition that he should more focus on football rather involved in unnecessary controversies.
